Question 1

What thermal paper roll sizes do you supply for POS systems and card machines?

Accepted Answer

We supply the most commonly used South African thermal paper sizes for card machines and POS systems, including 57 x 40 mm card machine rolls and 80 x 83 mm POS rolls, as well as other widths and diameters on request. Each product on the procurement portal clearly lists width, diameter, core size, paper weight and meterage so procurement teams can easily match rolls to their existing terminals.

Question 2

Can you help us standardise thermal paper specifications across multiple branches?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with your procurement and operations teams to audit your current POS and card machine models, recommend compatible standard roll sizes and then lock those specifications into your procurement portal profile. This helps ensure all branches order the same approved thermal paper sizes, reducing waste, errors and supplier complexity.

Question 3

Do you offer contract pricing and volume discounts for thermal till rolls?

Accepted Answer

We offer tiered pricing based on monthly or annual volume, as well as contract pricing for enterprises, franchises and large multi-branch retailers. Once your estimated usage is confirmed, we can propose volume-based price breaks, fixed-term agreements and scheduled deliveries so your thermal paper costs are predictable over the contract period.

Question 4

What are the minimum order quantities for bulk thermal paper orders?

Accepted Answer

For most standard thermal till rolls, the minimum order quantity is one full carton, typically 50 or 100 rolls depending on the product. For contract customers and national chains, we can supply pallet-level quantities and plan stock allocation against your forecast. Custom branded rolls usually have higher minimum order quantities due to print setup and plate costs.

Question 5

Are your thermal till rolls BPA-free and compliant with South African standards?

Accepted Answer

We offer BPA-free thermal paper options across our main product ranges. Our rolls are manufactured to consistent GSM and thermal coating standards to ensure clear print quality and compatibility with major POS and card machine brands used in South Africa. Product datasheets and compliance information can be supplied for your internal health, safety and procurement documentation.

Question 6

Can you supply custom branded thermal paper rolls and packaging?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our custom branded thermal paper service allows you to add your logo, marketing messages, QR codes or store details to the back of receipts and onto product packaging. This is ideal for retail chains, fuel stations and hospitality groups that want to turn every receipt into a brand touchpoint. Artwork guidelines, lead times and minimum order quantities are available on request through the portal.

Question 7

What are your lead times and delivery options for thermal paper across South Africa?

Accepted Answer

Lead times depend on volume and whether the product is standard or custom branded. For most standard thermal till rolls, orders are dispatched within 1–3 working days, with national delivery available to major cities and regional hubs across South Africa. Custom branded and contract production runs have longer lead times, which are agreed upfront with your procurement team and aligned with your usage forecast.

Question 8

How do we know which thermal roll fits our specific POS or card machine model?

Accepted Answer

Our portal includes POS System Sizes and Specifications to help you match device types to compatible roll sizes. If you are unsure, you can provide your POS or card machine model numbers, photos of existing rolls or sample receipts. Our team will confirm the correct width, diameter and core size and link the appropriate product codes to your account so future orders are simple select-and-reorder actions.

Question 9

Do you provide samples before we commit to a long-term supply agreement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For large accounts and contract discussions we can provide test samples of thermal till rolls so you can verify print quality, compatibility and paper length in your own devices. Once you are satisfied with performance, we finalise contract pricing, volume commitments and delivery schedules via the procurement portal.

Question 10

How does the procurement portal integrate with our internal purchasing process?

Accepted Answer

The procurement portal is designed to work alongside your existing purchase order and approval workflow. Your team can log in, select approved products, generate order summaries and request formal quotations or pro-forma invoices. These documents can then be attached to your internal procurement system for sign-off. For high-volume customers, we can align portal ordering with blanket POs, scheduled deliveries and centralised invoicing.

Question 11

Can you support multi-site deliveries under one central procurement account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many of our clients operate multi-branch retail, fuel, banking or hospitality networks. Your head office procurement team can manage a single central account while we deliver to individual branches, distribution centres or franchisees according to your instructions. Orders can be grouped by region, split by branch or shipped according to your preferred distribution model.

Question 12

What information do you need from us to set up a procurement account?

Accepted Answer

To open a procurement account, we typically require your company details, VAT number, delivery locations, estimated monthly thermal roll usage, preferred payment terms and any specific technical or compliance requirements. With this information we can configure your portal profile, agree pricing tiers and recommend the optimal mix of thermal paper products for your POS and card machine network.
